I built this site to showcase my resumé and portfolio. My online resumé will come in two versions. The display version on the webpage will be more in-depth. The linked version for download will be of the standard two-page variety. My portfolio will present many examples of my web design, animation, art and music. I designed this website from scratch in about 15 hours inside a 36 hour time period. I designed the header in Macromedia Flash MX with a 9" x 12" Wacom tablet and pen. I experimented with different ways of animating the plants and the fish and I set them on ueven timelines so the loop doesn't feel quite so static. I looked at a couple photos for reference but mostly drew everything up from imagination, including animating the colorful swaying plants. I just completed work on a "simulated interface" for a scene in the upcoming major motion picture "Babel" starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchette. They needed the interface for a scene where a border guard is scrolling through mug shots and criminal records in a "national database" at a border crossing station. The production people needed the screen to be interactive and to simulate inputting data and live searches. Their art department provided screenshots of what they wanted the interface to look like and fake data to load. I built it in Flash in three days, three days ahead of deadline. Here's what the Producer, Ann, had to say about my work: "Great work- thanks so much for turning it around so quickly. Art department is very happy- you don't know how many jokers there are out there that don't deliver like you did."

Currenty in progress: I'm working on a new website for "The Heartless Stone", a new book by the Author/Journalist Tom Zoellner. The book is being published by St. Martin's Press and will be out soon.
